I skipped away from work for a day, and started out at La Sal del Rey, hoping to find Botteri's Sparrows among some other gems. It's not the best place for BOSPs but I wanted to see if they were breeding there. I dipped on BOSPs but still had a nice cool-ish morning. I also spotted the following species between birding sites: White Ibis - Eudocimus albus - 1 Eastern Meadowlark - Sturnella magna - 2 White-tailed Hawk (Geranoaetus albicaudatus) - 1 Katherine Miller, Kingsville, TX Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner
