Spent the weekend at Government Canyon SNA. Didn't have my binoculars and
kept a fairly rapid pace while hiking. Noted 32 species. Government
Springs were mostly dry with only a few small pools supporting cricket and
leopard frogs and minnow-sized fish of which I am unfamiliar.
Also noted rose-bellied, crevice spiny and Texas spiny lizards at various
places.

Trails, no binoculars, everything off song/call did not explore

Northern Bobwhite 8 Numerous within the savannah areas surrounding the
camp ground, also heard at least two calling from the Far Reaches-Wildcat

another observed about 3/4 of mile into Joe Johnston trail along the dry
Government Creek.
