This morning a run up to Delta Lake, 18 miles north of Weslaco, proved productive with lots of shorebirds. Best were six Semipalmated Plovers and a Black Skimmer. Gull-billed Terns have returned. Meanwhile three Wilson's Plovers have returned to Hargill playa where they breed annually.
