[texbirds] Black-throated Green Warbler, many sapsuckers, Post Park, Marathon, Brewster Co. 29 Oct

A first winter bird.
More impressively were the numbers of sapsuckers pushing through.  We've
had good turnover on sapsuckers the last couple of weeks at this location.
 However, not the sheer number as experienced today.

Only birded the parking lot side of the park (however, this the side w most
trees).  A conservative 9 sapsuckers.  3 Red-naped, 3 Yellow-bellied, and 3
unidentified juvies.

FWIW, a female Williamson's Sapsucker was seen a couple days ago in the
Chisos Basin, BBNP.  Photographed by birder's visiting from Penn.
