This is not a Texas bird, but has important potential be become one..
An experienced observer found an American Black Duck at Red Slough
WMA in SE Oklahoma yesterday. He reports the bird flushed and flew
southeast. This location is only maybe two miles from Texas. Birders
in the northeast part of the state might be on alert. This species is
insanely rare in Texas.
