John,  I usually put the same gauge of the heathers wires,  coming from
the main board to the crt board. beguin with a minimum of 2 turns, then
add one turn at a time till you get normal bright in the heathers .

Has A heater to cathode short in the CRT. I want to try the wire wrap
around the core of the flyback to isolate it. What guage wire would be
good to use.
