I dumped all my yellow page display ads two years ago. All I have is a listing under TV and computers. IMHO most of the calls from yellow page shoppers are trying to save $10 on a repair. They call everyone there and ask "how much to fix a set that has no picture?". Or "so and so said that the "gizmoflagit" is no good, how much to replace it?" In other words it's waste of time answering calls generated from yellow page ads. Yes, you get more calls, but maybe 10% are money. The time wasted talking to the 90% of "shoppers" or "brain pickers" wipes out any money made on the 10%. We,ve been around long enough to have a word of mouth trade, plus our listings on mfr sites is more likely to result in a sale, since those folks are looking specifically for an ASC. just my 2 cents on the subject...
