I unplug the phone line from the machine at night. Also if I am near the fax
and I see it is receiving junk I unplug the phone line while it is receiving
and leave it unplugged for at least 15 minutes. Alternative is to use a
computer fax and just delete the junk so as not to waste paper. My son, who
has a business in Florida, uses a computer fax. They have lots of power
outages from storms so he has the computer set up to boot up automatically
as a fax when the power comes back on.
