Dave;
 This resistor measured ok for me,But was opening up
under load-I changed it and problems cleared up.
 On second thought in regards to your situation, if
replacing this resistor doesn't appear to help-don't
forget to check the tuner. (Sony tuner problems
common- usually cracked/broken ground connections
inside can along the inside edges and poor/cold joints
at the  terminals)
