Peter;
HV can't be present at the anode...
Whatever means you are using to measure....I presume "2nd Anode"...
2nd anode doesn't discharge quickly enough to give an indication of
anything.

Probably a Regulator problem...KV27EXR25 and others have "Cap" problems.

Look for C655 on the G PCB.

          Ran into an odd problem: This set seems to be attempting to
start, 
the HV pulses repeatadly but the set never fires up. the STRS6301 has
been 
replaced, and connections touched up on the power sypply, Vert IC,
HDT,.... 
The frequency of the sound the pulse makes sounds high although the 200v

supply only makes it to ~115v during a pulse. HV is present at the
anode.
