Brock: I don't know about the .0018 caps you mentioned on that Sony. Sounds like you have either a bad HV block or bad tube on that Sony. That is by far the most common failure on that set. I'd say 50/50 it could be the block or a tube. I have successfully used Sencore rejuv. on those before after you figure which tube. Usually you can tell by the color of faint retrace lines as to which tube before you lose video. Just don't cheat and adjust screen like I have seen before or it will recall. At least I have gone behind a few that tried that according to customers. Also that is one of those dog sets that all three tubes had to be changed because of flickering video and tint problems, Done a few of those nightmares. I would like to know more about that .0018 cap fix though and on what model if anybody has the specific info. Never saw that.
