[TechAssist] Sony CTV Model # KV35S42/AA-2D Chasis

I have this set that came in dead with the front led blinking.I did some
checking and found the following parts shorted out or open.
Hot- 2SC5148
Reg- MX0841
R607- fusible resistor
Vdr 601
I replaced all of the above including c609 and c610.I also resoldered
the horiz.driver xformer.I powered the set up and imidiately shorted the
hot,reg,and opened R607.
My flyback ringer is bad,therefore cannot ring the flyback.This is a
2001 model tv.If the G bd (power supply) has more problems,I think that
it would be cheaper to just replaced the complete bd for $49.00.My
question is has the flyback been causing problems in this model
eventhough its a fairly new tv? Thanks for the help and or tips.
