First thing I suspect is the IK circuitry, it's setting the turn-on point of
the CRT's. Could be you had to crank up the screen controls to offset an
extremely high cutoff, which would indicate either a short, or the IK
indicating a short where there is none.

Check the cathode voltage with a blank video input on each crt, normal
voltage at cutoff is around 180-185, if this is way off on all or at least
one, then it's time to test all components in the IK, there's other tests we
can run........ BTW........a freakin' model number would've helped..... RA
chassis numbers are pretty sweet too.
