From Tech Repair CD:
Sharp\55RWP4H\Goes into convergence mode by itself* then locks up and cannot
turn off unit\\\\Replace
convergence driver unit PWB-P (DUNTKA244WEV0)* part of chassis swap

Is anyone familiar with this set? Maybe a sharp asc? The question is about the
digital convergence unit.
All tests point to this being the problem for a no start condition. The +5v
line is being pulled down to
1or 2v. By disconnecting pins 3&4 of connector 610, that supply the 5v to the
d.u.,the voltage is 4.9v.
Seems obvious but I have seen obvious turn out to be something else.This unit
cost $262 + so do not want
to be wrong. Has anyone had this problem or had to replace the digital
convergence unit on this set
before? Have been unable to find anyone with this information yet. Hope some
here can help.
