The SET was brought in with BURNT Power Supply. During this time the SET displays a NOTHING on the SCREEN. > > If I use the remote control to power, the LED changes from RED to GREEN, but stays on for a MAXIMUM of 10 seconds only, then back to RED, and then the remote cannot be used to power the SET again. > > After studying the DATASHEET of the VERTICAL DEFLECTOR IC, i.e. TDA 8357, it looks like the device has been triggered into protection mode, indicating a fualt on the main board. I took out the VERTICAL IC, and then powered the SET, this time it came ON indicating RED then suddendly to green, with the SCREEN displaying a white HORIZONTAL LINE. > > I want to suggest the VERTICAL device to be faulty, but can anyone HELP as to next what I should do. > > F.Y.I the VERTICAL IC is not available here. > > Thanks to ALL > > Help make your TechAssist online repair tips > database better!
