I got a bad check from a lawyer once. I never heard from him until I threatened
to go to the District
Justice office...then he paid in cash as well as the extra fee.

Yes, I had a similar experience with a guy who was in a wheelchair
because he dove into water that wasn't deep enough. Of course with his
settlement he was able to afford a nicer house than mine and a PTV. I
repaired his PTV, charged him less than I do now, fixed it in a hurry
just before the super bowl, and his brother was irate that I was ripping
him off. PLUS I had not charged extra for driving time of 2 hours.
They got me to give a lower price and they kept a remote that I never
got back.
