Terry I was never aware that JVC built anything for RCA. They have been built
by Panasonic, Hitachi and Samsung and maybe some by Funai for the most recent.
This being an "older VCR" with bad caps like 330mf in the power supply sounds
like Panasonic( Matsushita). Paul

Basically, remove all the orig. grease off the load cam and worm gear, and
apply new grease like Lubriplate.
