Kevin: I would just sub the convergence P/S with a test board if you have one since your problem is intermittent. However, I have seen that problem before and it was fluid all three times. I would check for barely visible fluid on the convergence and/or main board. Especially where the two boards meet near the vertical section and over on the convergence board. Almost all intermittents on that chassis is fluid. Especially vertical, video, menu not working, or convergence intermittents. Set will run with perfect convergence for 10-15 minutes and then it goes bad as though the convergence P/S had failed. If I go into the convergence menu (which normally would not show up with the convergence P/S failed) and try to adjust the convergence, the picture will go black for a few seconds and then come on again with good convergence. When I go back into the convergence menu the screen doesn't go black and I can now adjust the convergence. This cycle keeps repeating. Does this sound like an intermittent P/S or something else? Thanks.
