Jerry check for the melted spacers on the board in the back, in the PIP
module, and clean anywhere it has run. I am working on one that
intermittently loses the video and I found that goop all over the place.
This set was worked on by 3 other shops and so far I replaced the tuner
which had the connectors badly soldered back on, fixed a broken trace on the
left hand standup board, Replaced leaky caps and high ESR caps in vertical
and power supply, PIP module and video board. Now I'm down to a crack or bad
solder joint somewhere. These also cannot be run on a home made jig so you
either bring the monster in or work at the home.
