Hi Guys, This 197 chassis is giving me fits, had the typical 3 clicks
then nothing,
replaced flyback kit (oem) now I have start up with audio but picture is
almost
totally collapsed horizontally, I have a 1/2" wide picture right in the
center of
the screen, If I let it run for 4-5 minutes it eats the HOT, figured I
got a bad
flyback so I ordered and installed another one, same symptom, I have
165v
on C of HOT in standby, drops to 144v when turned on, scoped the C of
the HOT and I only have 625v p-p, waveform is normal but half what it`s
supposed to be, I`ve checked C14402,14716,14800,14805,14403. 14404,
CR14402,14800, all good, I can`t seem to find the problem, could I have
a
bad deflection IC?? (U16201), My VA-48 is broke so I can`t ring the yoke
if anyone has seen this I could sure use the tip, tia, Larry E
