David I have some notes on that set to check CR4704 - R4702 - and R4517.
If R4702 is open set will not start.

Hi Techs,

On plug-in I can hear the SMPS fire up, I can hear the HV start but then
shut-down occurs, no horizontal drive, nothing but the standby voltages.
Turning up the screen level shows no retrace lines. I'm thinking maybe
the x-ray protection is kicking in but the +B never exceeds 130VDC
before shut-down. I've checked the horizontal driver transformer and
L401 coil for cold solder, it's OK. Something else is shutting down the
TV. Is there a way of disabling the x-ray protection circuit for test
purposes? Thanks in advance techs.
