I replaced the diode on the SSB on this one a few weeks ago, that's
responsible for a dead set.
After I ran it in the shop for a day or two, the customer picked it up and
said it lasted a whole half hour in his home.
Same thing, I re-replaced the same diode and got it running again and left
it running all day Saturday until I went to bed. (I live in the same
building as my shop) Sunday I turned it on in the morning, checked on it at
1:00pm, but when I checked it at 4:00pm it was off. I turned it on and got a
small picture, (ala bad seleniums, if you remember those) and snow, no tuner
operation.

This morning I turned it on and everything's fine again.

What do you think the chances are of fixing this beast once and for all, if
I replace the whole SSB board?

Anyone?
