I always replace capacitor 2455 with a 35V47. These cause all kinds of shut down and start up problems. Phil Solarz RAC - National Product Service Phil's Electronics C.E.T. If placed into Factory Mode using the 4835 310 57511 FMR remote the flashing will continue. Sg2 voltage is stable and clean of disturbance. Cause: Open resistor 3451 and shorted diode 6447. 3451 is a stand up resistor and may be measured in-circuit. Normal value is between 2 and 10 ohms (varies with model-see Force). Parts are on top of board at Section 6B. Resolution: Replace 3451 and 6447. NOTE: 3451 is a critical Safety part and must be replaced by the exact part/value. Symptom: Interference in picture. Cause: Yoke leads near CRT Dag ground wire Resolution: Bundle yoke leads away from CRT Dag ground wire and from tuner area. CAUTION Do NOT bundle Vertical and Horizontal yoke leads together. Make 2 separate bundles. I have this 32" set made in 2003. The picture comes on with strange colors, alternating predominately red, green or blue. The focus seems to shift and there is noise in the picture, like hundreds of tadpoles swimming to the left. It always comes on with a menu labeled "active control". It will then shut down in 15 seconds and require 2 power button pushes to turn on again. Interesting, if I continue to change channels, it will not shut down but the picture never gets better. All the PS sources and scan-derived sources check OK. The picture tube does not seem to be shorted. I think it may be the IHVT but I am looking for another opinion before I order it. I do have the service manual. TIA, John.
