Ken,
    Take a closer look at your Over current Protect Line for B+
and ABL.You can try input a White raster with low brigthness at
the A/V input. If the set stay ON, look at ABL.
Also look at your 5 volt line (with the scope) at the IR sensor
and CPU/EEprom - no noise should be present.This is a problem with
few of the newer Unit(there is a modification).
I will look at my manual at work tomorrow and see if I have any more
notes on this problem.
