This TV came in with the vertical shrunk top and bottom to about 6" pix. Also on the screen, on the top left it displays CHK in red and some numbers next to that.. I assume this is in some sort of factory menu. This set came from another shop because they didn't have a clue what was happening, which now it makes two of us. I checked the caps on the vertical section they all seem OK. One time that I turned on the whole picture came on, but it was very jittery and after about 5 minutes it turned off and the only way to turn it back on was to unplug the set and plug it back in then turn it on. Can someone shed some light on this dilemma, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you, Mark Electronic Repair Services 48 W.
