IC401 is the booster amplifier type of vertical IC. Pin 6 has 25 volts derived from the flyback. Pin 5 has a 2.6 volt bias with a sawtooth waveform on it that comes from the chroma IC. When the tv is in the service mode, the vertical size is adjusted by changing the amplitude of the sawtooth waveform. If there is no sawtooth, the chroma IC201 must be defective.
