[TechAssist] Hitachi VM-4400A camcorder, horizontal lines in pix

Tape playback is good. In camera mode there are about 10 lines across
the picture. They go down the screen quickly and then slowly stop, and
then go up the screen quickly. When the lines stop briefly I can see
that the lines look like part of the video is shifted over to the right.
On a 31" TV the lines are about 1/2" wide and 2 inches apart. If this
camcorder worked on AC I would say that caps in the P/S are bad; but
this camcorder works on DC of course. As I was typing this email, there
are now twice as many lines as before, so my problem is getting worse.
Now every second also line has a bluish tinge to it. Does this sound
like bad caps? Thanks.
