Believe it or not, it's a norton problem! The quick way (work's most of the time) is to force the 'live update" to access the internet. Norton has locked out all traffic. It will usually go to it's own site when it gets stuck like that. once it FTP's all the other access will return. I no longer use Norton for this very reason. It also slows the computer download process too much. Now i use AVG and ZoneAlarm plus a hardware firewall with NO PROBLEMS since I've dumped Norton.
