Replaced the C5339/HOT & D902.Unit now pulses on/off,with about 7 to 10 KV hi
volts but my 40 watt light bulb is very brigth during this pulseing
action,which is connected in series with the ac i/p fuse=2amps.This unit has no
chassis # or FCC.Lifted the vert. o/p ic,no diff.Checked all diodes in sec. of
SMPS & esr'ed caps.I can't see any FET in the HV section of this unit.See my
previous post for more info.Can anyone give me any data on this unit ie who
makes it,a similiar chassis.Any i/p appreciated.....TIA....Don.....

Customer dropped this unit off while I was out so not sure where it's used.Has
BNC & RCA i/p and o/p jacks,ie no cable to hook up to a PC.Think it may be used
in a security system.Has an all metal casing & a bit of a pain to get in
to.It's a 14''.Main & only PCB lokks like a Philips.Has the following on the
board...........
U601=TDA1517
U501=TDA8361
U401=TEA8172
Q801=K2645
H.O.T.=C5339
U301=HEF4066BP
U901=HA17808
Found the C5339 shorted & D902 in SMPS leaky.Anyone familiar with this unit?
Service literature would be a bonus.Before I fire it up,would like to know what
caused these components to die.Of course will use a variac,light bulb & amp
meter to monitor this unit on start up..TIA...Don...
