BTW...talking about the Old Glo-Bar Resistors. Up here in Canada, on cold winter nights, when outside lights come on, we tend to blow a few light bulbs. I have installed one of these inside of the 5 outside lights we have here. Have never blown a lightbulb, because of the sudden surge to cold filaments. Simple...but effective. -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hoyt's TV" <hoytstv@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, September 17, 2004 9:53 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: [ FIXED ] Sony KV36XBR400 Dead set ( 220 volts was applied ) > Glo-Bar? > Ed you sure know how to make a guy feel old. > I bet you know just what you are going to replace, as soon as you step in > the house and smell rotten eggs too. > > Russ Hoyt > Hoyt's TV > Exeter, NH > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Tel-Tek" <teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Friday, September 17, 2004 8:40 AM > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: [ FIXED ] Sony KV36XBR400 Dead set ( 220 volts was > applied ) > > > > Nope...You have that mixed up with the Old Glo-Bar resistors, often use in > > the degaussing circuit.
