This was also the exact same fault as Gary listed the tip for the J620 model. My solution was to cut the circle end of the spring, making it into a hook that I put through the hole where the nylon post broke. Remove the transport. There is a slide across the front. About 1/3rd of the way from the left, you will find a hook in the chassis with a spring. On the other side of the slide is a lever that used to have 2 plastic 'hooks' on it that broke or broke off. This is where the other end of the spring goes. The lever engages the eject function. What I do to fix - run a thin wire thru the hole in the lever and then thru the spring and reattach it that way. Just did a Magnavox like that. Only other thing - could be a broken worm gear on transport. Roger G.
