Bill; Unless it was a different website, I saw where "b" could be delayed from showing till the battery reached 7.5 volts. But really..with the Auto-Shut off I get a couple of years on a 9V Duracell. Biggest problem I found was the silk screening is starting to get hard to read. But I know what values I can expect. BTW...I have accidentally checked a couple of charged caps...seen the arc....but has never screwed up..so far. -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx teltek@xxxxxxxxx On 12-Feb-05, at 4:11 PM, Bill Grabowski wrote: > I've seen a circuit to modify the battery life on the Australian > website > for Dick Smith users............ > > Bill Grabowski > Triangle Appliance > Kenosha,WI 53142 > > Phil Bader wrote: >> I love my Dick Smith, but one thing about battery life: >> First, to "zero" the meter, you need to turn it on,short the leads >> together, and push power button.
