I have had my Chipper check since they came out way back when. I have two new laptoms that both have the printer LPT1 port which is my interface from the laptop (excuse me..... notebook as they are called now) to the Chipper Check. I don't use it as much in the customer's home now as Thomson has laxed the requirements on the usage display reuirements for warranty claim submissions. They used to pay us an intermediate labor rate for resoldering because they considered that a repair that could be completed in less than 30 minutes. They forgot to include travel and setup time as well as breaking out the laptop with Chipper Check and the time it took to get the usage display, then take it all apart, put it away, and document the infomation on the warranty claim form. I'm guessing new laptops only have USB connections? Has anyone found a way around this?
