I know of someone here that tried to get, I think PTS, to repair one. 
That turned into a fiasco.  Ken Smith has more info on that he might 
share.  He finally got it fixed out of a combo of a couple that I had 
junked.

Murphies Law, though, yours could just be something like the infamous 
cr4118.

Personally I would not have taken it in, but I would check the main 
supply to see if the power transistor is shorted.  Just changing a fuse 
is a problem.  I would not go any farther.

If it was in my shop I would tell the customer it was accepted by 
mistake, I don't work on it, you can come pick it up and I will refund 
the diagnostic fee.

Cut your loss and back out.
