I know of someone here that tried to get, I think PTS, to repair one. That turned into a fiasco. Ken Smith has more info on that he might share. He finally got it fixed out of a combo of a couple that I had junked. Murphies Law, though, yours could just be something like the infamous cr4118. Personally I would not have taken it in, but I would check the main supply to see if the power transistor is shorted. Just changing a fuse is a problem. I would not go any farther. If it was in my shop I would tell the customer it was accepted by mistake, I don't work on it, you can come pick it up and I will refund the diagnostic fee. Cut your loss and back out.
