I'm not 100% sure, but on most if not all Phillips, Magnavox TVs, the
procedure to save is not to turn off at the remote control, but to press the
power button on the keyboard. That saves your settings. Unplugging the TV is
a final test to verify that the EEPROM will retain your stored settings.
Learned that in Magnavox's last person-to-person training class....1992 or
