Look below at the average match scores for all FRC matches played last year (this is a 10 match moving average). Notice that you can see the eliminations for the regional tournaments as large spikes in this trend, and then you also see that the average matches at the championship event are starting at the skill level of the elimination matches at the regional events, and the eliminations at the championship are in a league of their own. Found this on chief Delphi and thought it was interesting. It's a good illustration why we need to be playing at regional championship level to go to the world championship.
