We've had our job evaluation letters. My previous grade was at PO2, SCP 3=
7 and is now on the equivalent "I" band which is job evaluation points 52=
2-581, if that all means anything to any one. So we stay they same. Howev=
er overtime on Sunday has gone from double time to time and a half and ti=
me and a half on Sat as well. One area of concern was that It states that=
=20over time will be given in lieu, time for time. However I have confirm=
ed with my line manager that authorised O/T will be paid at their discret=
ion.=20

One to think about over Easter perhaps. We in Sheffield are undergoing
job evaluation - right at the end of the allowable period because the
first scheme they thought up collapsed in a heap a couple of years ago -
so we don't know anything at the moment. It would be helpful to us, and
to others I suspect, if we could collate what has been happening to
people in traffic control around the country. Could you let me know -
through a personal reply, not the list - what has happened to you and
your colleagues, I will collate the information and make it available
without identifying authorities let alone individuals. To maintain
consistency could you let me know spinal column points rather than bands
- some authorities, including Sheffield, have their own banding and
don't use SO, PO etc.
