Peter You may also like to talk to TfL who are currently installing a surface crossing in replacement of a subway in A240 Tolworth Broadway. With the existing adjacent crossing and signal junction, this will mean three installations within a 150 - 200 metre stretch of road. I cannot find any other details, but maybe this would answer your problem. If forced to install two crossing so close together, why not link them so they act as one? I would also consult with your Traffic Manager - who has the brief to ensure efficient traffic flow. I have been asked to approve 2 crossings that are within 60m of each other. In the end I got the developer to move the crossing by saying it was closer than 20m to a side road (it was only a small car park entrance.)They have now moved the crossing further up making the 2 crossings 120m apart Regards =3D20 Mark Stapley Traffic Systems Design Engineer Bedfordshire Highways =3D20 Amey | Service is our passion.
