We are in the process of designing a number of junctions with in Cardiff
which for the first time will employ nearside technology.

Does anyone have any experience of the optimum position for oncrossing
detector. I.E do they need to be mounted on poles diagonally opposite each
other or can they be mounted on poles that share the same stud line. The
question arises on one way roads and on staggered exit peds on junctions
with toucan facilities i.e which poles do you make as the tall and which do
you make as the short?
