Thinking back to when I enquired about replacing a standard pushbutton with
a piezo type, I was advised that the PBU was approved with a pushbutton (the
type of pushbutton was not specified) so no further approval was needed.
Since these louvres will be internal to the unit I wonder if they will fall
into the same category - that is, that the indicator unit has red and green
man aspects (whether the lamp is louvred or not is not specified).

I cannot comment whether there is a type approval (or any other approval)
issue. However Suku Phull from DfT is coming to Sheffield specifically to
have a look at this on site later this week, and this is one of the issues
that I will want to discuss with him. I will post any further information
when I have it.
