1 In respect of lamp monitoring, there is a working group seeking ways of
specifying for non tungsten lamps. In my opinion, it shouldn't be omitted. We
only use LED on high level so far, so it hasn't cropped up as a serios problem
- yet.

2 Sealing, never heard of it. All our high level heads are LED. If a supplier
states it is necessary get a guarantee on the life from them, one that will
stick regardless of whether they go out of biz.

3 I think what people are thinking of is the phenomena that on the intergreen,
because LED are to all intents instantaneous, with mixed tungsten and LED, it is
possible to take a picture with one head apparantly showing red and another not.
As a security, you do need to check up on the shutter speed being used, the
flash is actually only about 1/2000 of a second long, but commonly used with a
shutter speed of 1/60 sec.
It depends on whether it is a Compur or Focal plane shutter. Compur can be
synchronised at a high shutter speed. Focal plane have to use a slower one to
ensure that the shutter is wide open when the flash fires. (yes I am a
photographer)
