Not at all, the web site will be open to all but to avoid "spamming"
registration will be required before posting is allowed (as is the case
at the moment)

What about non members of IHIE - will they be excluded?

Chris,

As Grahame mentions following discussions by Dr Bull with CSS it was put
to the TCUG meeting (which I was , unfortunately, unable to attend) that
an ideal home for this forum would be on the IHIE web site.

The web designers (who would have thought there would be such an
occupation?) are currently accessing the software options to meet our
"needs" (subject headings, "sticky" subjects, FAQ, ability to up load
documents / photos etc) I would hope that the site would be ready for
launch at JCT in September

This has always been a "members" site and IHIE are keen that it remain
so. So what else do you want on it?

Regards

Tony

Isnt it about time, given the fact that IT sections across the country
seem to revel in changing email settings without warning and the
difficulties some of us have in posting to freelists, that the TCUG
forum was moved to some kind of php bulletin board or something? Perhaps
it could be incorporated in to UKRoadsignals.co.uk or something? And it
would certainly make searching threads much easier.
Just a thought.
