Verify that you have oil pressure,Test it with a gauge. Then start trouble shooting. You can use the gauge again later. It can be used for other things.Don't trust a new gauge. Bluebus had a similar problem which turned out to be the new gauge that was installed when the engine was rebuilt.also don't trust your"good" wiring. Strange things happen to forty year old busses while they are just sitting.Things that are good today may be bad tomorrow. ----- Original Message ----- From: ATX BUS To: TCB TCB Sent: Tuesday, January 13, 2009 1:00 PM Subject: [tcb] oil pressure I need some suggestions for chasing a potential oil pressure issue. Over the weekend when I started my bus I noticed the oil pressure light did not go off. I verified that there was enough oil, restarted and the same thing happened. So I replaced the oil pressure switch and the light remains on. Any helpful suggestions on trouble shooting this situation are appreciated.
