Hey Denis: Yeah, I've got a perfect utility hauler trailer that I have
hauled VWs on for about 75,000 miles. And you can't haul a car with a car
cover on it. You will beat the paint to death and it will have scratches all
over it when you get to your destination.

The trailer I drag Murray around on is a Texas Bragg. It is not
enclosed. I think mine cost around $1500. You could buy a cover to put on your
cars and not buy the enclosure. Just a thought.

Tony P feels the ones with the V front pull better . One of our
buds in Granbury just bought a new one in the last few weeks Bob Warriner
I am not sure of the price , but everyone felt it was a great price . E
mail me & I will give you his # . It may be to late, but I believe tomorrow he
is hosting a get together at his place . He lives on a private air strip , on
the edge of Granbury Tx . He keeps his cars ( of which he has many ) in his
hanger . The Air Strip is having a "FLY IN " ??? Bi planes with flour bombs
& lots of " stuff " going on . He is doing burgers noonish & the strip is
having a cheap BQ dinner . It sounds fun , but I have # 2 grandaughter grad
from HS . Plenty of VWs Terry

Anyone out there who can add any insight into buying an
enclosed trailer, your comments would be welcome.

OK, I have been contemplating acquiring an enclosed car hauler
trailer. Have been looking on Craig List and talking to people. Here's what I
think I want: 8.5' X 20' tandem axle with ramp gate on rear and electric
brakes. Beyond that I have no idea.

Most of the ones I have seen advertised are 6.5' inside height
and I am not sure that is high enough to haul a bus. Have found some used ones
24 & 28' but don't really want to pull one around that long if not needed.
Also found one that is 16' but that is probably too short for an enclosed
trailer to haul cars. My open trailer is 16' but that seems sort of short for
an enclosed one.

Anyone know of any used ones around for a bargain price. I
have not been able to find one that is a bargain. Most of the used ones I have
seen advertised the asking price is so close to a new one that it is not worth
buying a used one.

Comments or suggestions will be appreciated; particularly from
anyone who has experience with an enclosed trailer.
