I don't mean to be a big cry baby, but a good dog will become a true member
of the family. Like a brother or sister.

Lilly had habits that would drive us nuts, like yelping at 3 AM because she
wanted a chewy treat. But she did that because someone would go to the
kitchen and give her a chewy treat. She may be nuts, but she's family.

Subject: [tcb] Thanks for listening

Until last last Sunday I didn't realize how it felt to lose or have a pet
with a medical condition(I got a little taste of it when Thor died, but
still didn't fully understand)I was the person who couldn't understand how a
human could be grieving over the loss of a dog.I don't think I was ever
disrespectful ,but just didn't understand the closeness of loving a pet .As
stated earlier ,on Sunday of last week we had dinner with our son and
daughter in law. They have the most awesome Pit Bull in the world.Dixie was
favoring her right paw.Keith said Dixie had gotten the best of a cat in
their back yard ,but that the cat had got in some good licks as well. When we
got Marble Falls Keith checked on Dixie alittle closer and found some bights
on her leg .They took her to the vet on Monday and had tubes put in three of
the bites.and had to spend the night at the vet,.Lois and I sent her a get
well card and called everyday we were in Brooklyn to ck on her.I guess the
moral of the story is you can teach ole dogs new tricks.Dixie is much
better now after the anti bionics kicked in.Many of you will remember Dixie
from several T@P's.
