The only difference is:

1) You'll find out that you have to learn everything about it (and there is a lot more to learn than a bus) 2) Constant worry about oil AND water level (replacing the constant worry about oil temperature and level). Was that puff of smoke I saw this morning water leaking into my cylinders?
3) A much more comfortable ride
4) A real heater
5) Much fewer (if any) waves EXCEPT the occasional duffer who wants to regale you with his family trip stories... (which I have to admit was fun)

You luckily have some guys at the VW dealership up there who love Vanagons and will be happy to share their knowledge.
