I've been there with my son's Scout Troop. We stayed in a 'primitive' site west of New Waverly where there were no amenities. There is a Ranger Station near there with showers and whatnot though. Their website seems to be down but, if you’re interested I'll see if I can figure out the coordinates. Very quiet at night, you can hear banjos and fiddles, if you listen closely. May be some 4wheelers and dirt bikes during the day. Beautiful place. Double Lake (near Cold Spring) is a great site too. Has great swimming but can be crowded. Huntsville SP is a nice one as well.
