Go to a FLAPS and rent the gauge.
Start the Engine, let it warm up.  (Choke open)
Shut engine off, dicsonnect fuel line at carb.
put fuel pressure gague in the line.
have somebody restart the engine while you watch the gauge.  Make sure it's clamped on the end of the line.

Should be a minimum of 3 PSI.

Here's a YouBoob Video showing the gasket "shimming" and it's affect on Fuel Pressure.

Subject: [tcb] Anyone ever cheked thier fuel pressure

I've been told to check the fuel pressure  from the fuel pump......(Denis chime in here at anytime)

me, check the fuel pressure, right,,,,, I looked in the Bentley and trying to figure out "connect a fuel gauge from the fuel pump to the carb and using an alternative fuel source" you should see xyz psi...

What?

Anyone ever done this?

The best part is about using "gaskets" to get the right pressure at the pump, how the heck does that work? Shimming up the pump?

Please enlighten me .
