hey Dale, no manufacturer is still making 4-track decks (sad to say). The
most recently made ones were the Tascam MF-P01 and the Fostex X-12, I
believe. Both of these units are extremely simple, with no digital
controls. They don't offer much flexibility or power if you're looking to
do serious music recording, but if you want something straightforward
either would do you well. They're also both very portable. You can find
them on Ebay for under $100.
