I am part of a radio tribute group for Neil Rogers. He was a radio talk show
host in
Miami, Florida from 1976 to 2009. He started out doing just straight talk, but
by the late
1980s he started playing comedy bits. Well, one of the group members sent me
some tapes, and I
hooked up a sampler, and I converted the tapes to mp3 and sent the files to the
group. And yes,
this is a brand new mailing list. It started out in September 2012 (very, very,
very inactive) with
Looper's Delight members, which, since 1996, live looping artists have been
communicating on.
Well, I saw there were no tape mailing lists, so I set one up, and got a few
loopers to sign
up. I then remembered the blind people like myself; the tape version of Talking
Books is still around, and there are
probably some HandiCassette users left. So I advertised it in those places as
well.
